We had a flash that exploded near some electronics in the house, including (but not limited to a router), can not sign an internal modem, Ethernet, TV, cable, etc. Now I have a modem or router for my new Notebook with Vista. How do I know if the modem is on the Fritz? I tried the Windows Network Diagnostics - but no help at all.
